Surrey based clinic offering nutrition & functional medicine to improve your child or teenagers health

I offer nutritional therapy consultations, taking a functional medicine approach, for children and teens in person in Surrey or from further afield via zoom appointments.

Children and teenagers can often respond very quickly to nutritional therapy and improvements to their symptoms and overall health can often be seen within a few weeks. Whilst I can advise on a healthy diet generally, providing lots of practical ideas for improving a child's nutrient intake, nutritional therapy & functional medicine can also help specific health conditions and concerns.

A growing child's dietary requirements

  • Vitamin & mineral deficiencies of B vitamins, magnesium, zinc and iron are common in children, especially teenagers.
  • A two year old needs 800mg of calcium each day.
  • Calories from fat (primarily healthy fats) should provide about a third of a child's energy intake.
  • Poor appetite can sometimes be related to mineral deficiencies.
  • Children with deficiencies of omega 3 & 6 fats and some minerals are more likely to have behavioural problems such as ADHD.

Clare's advice was brilliant

"Clare's consultation was extremely thorough and she immediately identified key issues that the doctors and I had overlooked. My daughter has also seemed far more resilient to bugs and viruses. Thank you Clare, from one happy child and one VERY grateful mum!"
